Welcome to The Edible Canvas at The
Kitchen Classroom in Brea, California - the place where your inner artist meets a
blank edible canvas of cupcakes, cakes, and cookies. No experience
necessary - just bring your creativity.

How it Works


Each experience is designed for one artist, with the option to add one Artist Assistant (6” cake: $15). The assistant may help decorate but does not receive their own item.

Select your canvas - cake, cupcakes, or
cookie - based on your chosen package. Every booking includes a pre-baked item, all decorating supplies, and dedicated studio time.

Enjoy access to decorating tools, colorful icings, sprinkles, and a wide variety of fondant molds to bring your vision to life.

DIY sugar cookie decorating kits are also available for take-home or scheduled pick-up.

Please Note: This is a hands-on decorating experience - no baking required, just creativity and fun!

About the Edible Canvas

Welcome to The Kitchen Classroom’s Edible Canvas located inside The Kitchen Classroom Cooking School where you are the artist! This hands-on DIY cake decorating experience is designed for all ages and skill levels. With all the tools, ingredients, and guidance you need, cake decorating has never been so easy, creative, and fun.

Here’s how it works - choose your canvas and then decorate with five buttercream colors! You may add fondant for an extra fee.

  • Slice of Imagination - A 4" by 4" piece of cake (chocolate or vanilla) covered in vanilla buttercream.
  • A 4” two-layer cake (chocolate or vanilla) covered in vanilla buttercream.
  • A 6” two-layer cake (chocolate, vanilla, or funfetti). Your choice is covered in vanilla buttercream.
  • Cupcakes - 4 or 6 to decorate with buttercream.

  • Bring your own ideas to life with a one-of-a-kind original creation.

Walk-ins are welcome (based on seat availability) during regular business hours - so stop by, grab your cake canvas, and let your imagination soar!

We offer a few cake options now and will be expanding our offerings to include cupcakes and Grab-n-Go DIY cake decorating kits.
